Louise Spratt

Driven by a “one life, live it” philosophy, Louise Spratt gratefully took her Hispanic Studies degree from the University of Birmingham and ran, in search of boundless possibilities. Somewhat predictably, her search has begun in Spain where she is, perhaps more unimaginatively, working as an English teacher. That said, learning from her students makes a nice change from academia while the daily adventures, culinary delights and geo-cultural diversity that Granada offers are proving to be more enriching than any well-paid 9-5 in Blighty.

Louise has volunteered in Costa Rica, fished for piranhas in the Amazon and presented the weather to listeners of an Argentinian radio station. Now, torn between her love for the Andalucían city and her persistent urge to eat, immerse and converse her way around the world, she proposes a 'China challenge' for the coming summer, while Brazil begs an extended return trip.

Though the maniacal planner continues to stew on the possibility of further study, the potential of her career, and where else it will take her, she finds reassurance in the fact that living for the moment and embracing every opportunity is the most fulfilling way to answer her questions.
