Kuba Winkowski

Kuba showed an interest in cooking from an early age. Growing up in Poland, where the restaurant scene and eating out culture barely existed, a career as a chef was not highly regarded.

By February 2012, Kuba had moved to the UK and took over as Head Chef of The Feathered Nest. In his first year, he was awarded three AA Rosettes. In October 2018, Kuba won prestigious Craft Guild National Chef of the Year 2019 title.

He opened non-profit initiative KUBARN in November 2019. It is the smallest development kitchen in the UK, located in 95 sq ft shed in his own home garden. He invites dinners to comment on his food, style and concept, ahead of opening his first full-sized restaurant in autumn 2020.

He has appeared on Saturday Kitchen on BBC TWO, Saturday Morning with James Martin on ITV, Food Network TV, breakfast shows and regularly takes part in local food festivals.
