David Atkinson is a full-time freelance writer for national newspapers and magazines, a copywriter for international tourist boards and a travel blogger for hire.
Based in Northwest England, he writes about all aspects of travel to adventure to family travel via responsible tourism. He looks for fresh new angles on familiar destinations and sometimes takes his two little girls on assignment for their take on travel.
He recently won the Golden Pen award from the Croatian National Tourist Office for the best international travel feature (2012). The story, Croatia’s 1,244 Dalmatian Islands, was published in Wanderlust.
