Chris Bradley

Chris Bradley is a writer, photographer, film-maker, lecturer and tour leader specialising in the Middle East and North Africa. He has written and photographed the Berlitz Guides to Oman, Abu Dhabi, Libya, Cairo, Egypt Red Sea and Nile Cruising, as well as the Discovery Guide to Yemen. He has contributed to the Insight Guides to The Silk Road, Egypt and Travel Photography. His travel photographs have appeared in almost every UK national newspaper and magazine. As a cameraman and producer for his own production company Zanzibar Films, he has made television documentaries for the BBC, Channel 4 and National Geographic TV.

He is a worldwide Nadfas-accredited lecturer and has spoken at the RGS and RSGS. Having led tour groups since 1978 he still works for a number of specialist tour operators, leading tours each year to Ethiopia, Iran, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. He has walked solo and unsupported the 500kms of Wadi Hadramaut in Yemen; ridden a camel from Aqaba to Madaba in Jordan; climbed Mont Blanc and finished the Ironman triathlon. His knees are showing signs of wear and tear.
