Anthony Ham

Anthony is a Melbourne-based writer and photographer with more than a decade’s experience in writing about Africa, Spain, Norway and the Middle East.

He has recently returned to Australia after ten years living in Madrid but he spends much of the year disappearing into the wild places of the earth, whether it be the Arctic, Sahara or Kalahari.

As at home camping alone amid sand dunes as in the planet’s most clamorous cities, Anthony travels in search of the stories that rarely get told, from endangered species and conservation issues to indigenous people and nomads. His most recent expeditions include Kenya, a solo crossing of the Kalahari in Botswana, tracking sea turtles in Mauritius and exploring New South Wales from Byron Bay to Broken Hill.
