The job I’m doing now is what I wanted to do when I was a kid – to be an explorer, travel around the planet and connect with people. Basically just experience the world.
My ethos comes from being in the Marines: courage, determination, unselfishness and cheerfulness in adversity. Those four things grind me through hard times.
I believe we become what we think about. I started out in the Marines and when I look back at how I got to where I am today it’s all happened for a reason.
People are the same across the globe – friendly and honest. Even when I was embedded with a lot of bad people for Narcos, I discovered the people I met had good hearts. It was circumstances that made them do what they had to do.

Aldo Kane is a World Record setting adventurer, explorer and former Royal Marine Commando who now specialises in providing safety for film and TV productions in extreme environments around the world.
