From the Editor: The best from myWanderlust this week

Things get all cultured on myWanderlust this week. Well, sort of

DrG popped over to the Royal Festival Hall this week to see Planet Earth in Concert. From what I can gather, it's footage from the BBC series, set to music played by a live orchestra. But the good doctor was impressed. So much so that he implored anyone reading his entry on Just Back From to get tickets. I duly popped over to the ticketing website to discover that there are only two shows left. And they're in Sydney. Could be a good excuse to pop home and visit the relos, I guess.

Just Back From is the busiest section of myWanderlust this week, which explains, I guess, why things have been a bit quiet around here. Sergeant Pluck, for example,  has just returned from Spain's very own Jurassic Coast where he sampled the local cider and learned the correct way to pour it. He shares the secret so you can too.

Welshdragon is back too, a little later than expected after getting caught in a Bison jam in Yellowstone National Park. Apparently, the Elk bugle alarm clock took some getting used to as well. Forget going in summer, says our resident dragon. Now is the time to go to the US's most famous National Park.

Elsewhere on Just Back From, hmk has been sailing the Western Isles of Scotland with the Jubilee Sailing Trust. A bit chilly, she says, but an extraordinary experience all the same. Orla Jo, on the other hand, has been floating on her back in the Aegean, soaking up the rays and checking out Greek ruins. Rosbod is back from Albania, raving about the incredibly hospitable people and the stunning mountain scenery.

Feeling in a helpful mood? The Forum this week is chokkas with people who need your assistance. Goccia is off to South West Cambodia and wants to know if it's OK for a solo female traveller to go it alone. George M is looking for cheap eats in Switzerland. And LornaG is after the best four to seven day trek in Nepal. You can help them all here.

Orla Jo has popped up again over in Experiences with two tales from a recent trip to Istanbul. One chronicles the joy of arriving in this amazing city. The other offers advice on getting away from the hordes of tourists and sinking your teeth into the city. Both are well worth checking out. Hmoat 01 is back with a second tale from her trip through the Balkans. This time she's in Bosnia-Herzegovina and as per usual, it's a great story told exceedingly well. I was particularly interested in reading about the bridge in Mostar. There wasn't much left of it when I saw it.

Remember those stone circles ocelus was talking about in Just Back From last week? Well, he's posted a set of great photos for those of us with little imagination. Sydb has returned from South-East Asia with a swag of memory cards chock full of images. You'll find the best from Sumatra and Malaysia here. Chrisjwalbank, meanwhile has been in Cumbria. After checking out his photos here and here, you'll wish you were too.

And ocelus, thanks for noticing. It made my day.
