Help to save turtles and experience authentic Maldivian life as a volunteer on this marine conservation project with The Great Projects.

Based at the marine centre on the island of Naifaru, you will help with the conservation of five species of marine turtles: hawksbill, green, leatherback, loggerhead and olive ridley. You’ll take part in the turtle 'head-starting' programme, plan and implement awareness programmes in the local community and schools, monitor the reef, and help to extend the coral garden which has been laid around the island.

During the calm season (November to April), you will also help to monitor manta rays.
