Thailand is safely re-opening its doors to visitors and can’t wait to welcome you soon. But things have by no means been quiet here since lockdown, as many organisations continued to make outstanding contributions to the sustainability of Thailand.
To celebrate, this year’s Responsible Thailand Awards will pay special attention to the resilience shown during the pandemic, highlighting the hard work of those that went the extra mile, with the addition of the brand new Pandemic Heroes Award. As well as this, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is offering one lucky reader the chance to win a trip of a lifetime to Thailand.
If you win, there are many ways to make your trip a responsible one. Visit Samui Elephant Sanctuary, last year’s winner of the Animal Welfare award, where you can ethically see rescued and retired elephants. Also worth seeing is the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort which is dedicated to the conservation of Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park.
Make your visit more sustainable by staying in an eco-hotel such as Khaolak Merlin Resort, which bagged 2020’s Responsible Thailand Hotel award for its uncompromising green standards.
However you spend your time, with so many award-winning organisations in the country, it’s easy to make your Thailand escape a responsible one.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand is offering two return tickets from London Heathrow to Bangkok with, two domestic return tickets within Thailand, along with a £2,000 voucher to book a Thailand trip of your choice. For your chance to win, simply answer the question:
