West African Birdwatch

From: £Contact us

This 12 day trip goes in search for some of Gambia's superb tropical birds including red-billed hornbill, broad-billed roller, red-throated bee-eater, sunbirds, blue-breasted kingfisher and more.

The Gambia makes an ideal introduction to African birdwatching, thanks to its easy access from Britain, comfortable hotels on the coast, and an ever-friendly welcome from the local people.

We spend our first few days in Gambia on the coast, then travel upriver in search of spectacular birds such as Egyptian plover and red-throated bee-eater, a combination which offers a delightful feast of West African birding.
