Ideal for families, this two-week itinerary takes in the best jungle locations – the national parks of Kanha, Pench and Satpura – with a variety of activities suitable for children and adults alike, to enjoy India’s rich wildlife to the full.
Searching for tigers by jeep in lush Kanha is exhilarating enough, but it's also where you meet Tara, a 60-year-old elephant, and take her to bathe - something which children will delight in. Next on this itinerary is Satpura, where you can look for sloth bear, endemic giant Malabar squirrel and rich birdlife, and enjoy its diverse fauna away from the crowds, with the flexibility to go at your own pace. If lucky, you may even see your first leopard on a night drive. And because no trip to India would be complete without it, you end in Agra to witness the most extraordinary testament to love: the Taj Mahal.
