Day 1: Depart UK
Start your holiday in style with included airport lounge access before your overnight flight to Delhi, India's pulsating capital.
Day 2: Delhi
Arrive at Delhi International Airport, where you'll transfer to your hotel upon arrival. Spend the day in Delhi, the capital of modern India. Enjoy seeing the mingling of Old and New India, the ancient and the modern. With a heritage spanning from the 12th to 20th centuries, Delhi has eclectic architecture, and a range of monuments that commemorate the grandeur and glory of bygone times.
Days 3-5: Kanha National Park
Arrive in Jabalpur or Raipur where you'll be met and transferred to the Kanha National Park, a beautiful reserve, encompassing a diverse array of ecosystems from grassy meadows and bamboo forests to peaceful lakes and rocky ravines. Check into the luxurious Banjaar Tola by Taj, where elegant tented suites featuring locally crafted furniture and an outdoor pool provide the perfect base for exploring Kanha's rich wildlife. Spend the next two days touring the park on a series of guided game drives, as you go in search of tiger, leopard, sloth, bear and Indian wild dog. Other species include spotted deer, chital, wild pig, black buck and the ant-eating pangolin, while the park is also home to an incredible array of birds, with over 200 species recorded.
Days 6-8: Bandhavgarh National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive at Kanha, followed by breakfast and a seven-hour transfer to Bandhavgarh National Park. Check into Mahua Kothi, a luxury Taj Safari Lodge with twelve cottage suites, each of which features air conditioning, a luxury bathroom and a private pool. Your days here will be filled with unforgettable safari experiences as you explore the park in the company of expert guides, giving you the best possible chance of seeing tigers, sloths, jungle cats and a host of other animal and bird species.
Day 9: Delhi
In the morning, transfer to Jabalpur, and then fly to Delhi, where you will be able to enjoy its most famous sites. Visit New Delhi, where you'll enjoy its spacious avenues that branch out from Connaught Place (Indira Chowk) toward the Parliament area and the Viceroy's House, the president's residence. Don't miss India Gate and the National Museum. Next, move on to Old Delhi, which was the former centre of the Mughal Empire. India's largest mosque, the Jama Masjid is also located here, and dominates the area alongside the Red Fort citadel. Visit the area's legendary bazaars and walk through its narrow lanes.
Day 10: Depart India/Arrive UK
After breakfast, transfer to the airport in time for your outbound flight from Delhi. Arrive back in London and continue your onward journey home.
