From: £3600.00

Holiday overview

This luxury Rajasthan holiday will introduce you to both northern India's incredible royal heritage and its unique wildlife. It all finishes in Jaipur, where palaces and forts remember a regal past. Throughout, every stop is brought to life by included private tours, the services of a private driver and stays in some of India's best accommodation. Think landmark city hotels and luxury tented camps.

On arrival, a private transfer will see you to your landmark spa hotel among the tree-shaded boulevards of New Delhi. The next day, you’ll be treated to a full private tour, beginning among Old Delhi’s wonders. There are the royal quarters of the imposing Red Fort, the colourful bustle of Chandni Chowk market and the spindling minarets of Jama Masjid – India’s largest mosque. Then, after pausing at the Raj Ghat memorial, where Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated, you’ll return to New Delhi, taking in everything from the great 12th-century Qutub Minar victory tower to the majestic tomb of a Mughal Emperor. You’ll finish with some more modern grandeur, with India Gate, President House and Parliament House.

There's everything from marbled tombs to impossible grand gates. You'll then arrive into Ranthambore National Park. Once the hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur, today it's one of the best places in the world to spot tigers in the wild, set among the park's lake palaces, chhatri pavilions and a 1,000-year-old fort. Over the next three days, it's all showcased on naturalist-led tours and five included game drives, returning to gourmet full-board dining and spa treatments at your luxury tented camp.
