Andalucia And Lisbon

From: £1750.00

Here are cities infused with Moorish, Jewish and Christian heritages. This is the land of flamenco, fiestas and gold from the New World. Olive trees stretch€ross the sun-baked landscape and white-washed villages perch on the hillsides. SHORE WALKS AND EXCURSION HIGHLIGHTS: La Corua - We visit the city from which the Armada sailed in 1588. It is Spains second largest port. A local guide shows us the city sites, including the 13th century Santa Maria del Campo church, plus we walk out to the Torre de Hercules, the ancient Roman lighthouse. Cdiz - Rich in maritime history, the city has an old quarter teeming with character. Cobblestone alleys open in small plazas. A local guide will take us through the old town. Mlaga - We travel inland from Picassos native city to Ronda, high in the Serrania de Ronda. The city, perched above the Tajo gorge, is an incredible sight. The gorge divides the town between the older Moorish quarter and sections built after the Reconquista. We explore the historic streets and walk the gorge. Seville - A city where orange trees line the cobbled streets. With a local guide we visit the cathedral, claiming to house Columbus tomb, the Moorish splendour of the Alczar, and wander the streets of the Barrio Santa Cruz, a maze of shady white-washed streets and picturesque squares. Lisbon - Portugals capital is famously bathed in clear Atlantic light. A local guide helps us to discover the citys secrets and we ride a tram.
