Malaysia and Borneo are multi-cultural destinations where natural beauty and astounding national parks meet cosmopolitan cities and culinary sensations. Youll be captivated by their breathtaking natural wonders and ancient traditions. Our journey starts in Kuala Lumpur with some city sightseeing, before moving on to explore the glorious Cameron Highlands, the largest and best known tea station in the region with remarkable scenery. We’ll follow a jungle trail in the world’s oldest National Park, Taman Negara. You’ll enjoy its hidden secrets during a night walk where you can appreciate its tropical beauty and perhaps encounter the native wildlife. Another adventurous day will see us take a boat to the local village of the Asli of Batek Tribe to discover their traditions and enjoy a lunch sampling their delicious food. Flying to Kota Kinabalu, you may choose to climb Mount Kinabalu (over 4000m) to be rewarded with remarkable panoramic views (the walk to the summit is above the holidays grade). In Sabah we find incredible land of jungles, mountains, rivers, wildlife and flowers. Trails meander through the jungle, orang-utan roam along with monkeys and a whole host of tropical species. In Sandakan we come face to face with endangered Orang-utans in the semi wild at the Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre. We will finish our adventure by taking a trip to the limestone hills of the Batu Tuluq Caves, visiting the local Orang Sungei community and enjoying the Bat exodus at the Gomantong Caves. We return to Kota Kinabalu for our final night.
