This fully-escorted small group tour of South Africa starts from Cape Town and ends in Johannesburg, following the spectacular Garden Route along the southern part of the country and including a few days' safari in the iconic Kruger National Park. Travelling with like-minded Rainbow Tours clients, you'll discover far more of the country than just the big-name cities; stopping to explore the world-famous winelands (and sample their produce, of course), tour the beaches and cliffs of Cape Point, delve into the caves of Plettenburg Bay and wander around the beautiful waterfront of Knysna Lagoon.
The epic wildlife encounters begin with a visit to the Plettenburg Elephant Sanctuary where you'll learn about the conservation efforts, then head out into the open wilderness to spot the Big Five in their natural environment. In Johannesburg, learn instead about the recent history and cultures of the people of South Africa by touring the city and visiting the Apartheid Museum.
