Highlights Of Turkey

From: £1379.00

Turkey is one of the most important countries in the development of the western world; over the centuries it has provided a geographical and cultural bridge between Asia and Europe, with ruins and monuments attesting to the rise and fall of many great empires. Starting in Istanbul, we travel through the country, visiting ancient cities and UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Ephesus, Hierapolis and Aspendos, exploring the natural wonders at Pamukkale and Cappadocia and taking some time out to relax on the Aegean coast. Add to that the memorials of Gallipoli and you can be sure of a fascinating journey that showcases the best of this country.   *Temporary changes due to COVID-security measures* *Last updated: 28/08/2020*   At Exodus we€knowledge our responsibility to have the most up-to-date information on anything that will affect our customers on holiday, and to communicate this to our customers as effectively as possible. Our general global COVID security measures are described in our Travel">https://www.exodus.co.uk/travel-safety-charter">Travel Safety Charter, and changes will be made to these measures as required by the global pandemic situation. However, we also expect there to be requirements, measures and sometimes itinerary changes that apply to certain trips only, and may well be temporary measures. We have highlighted all known changes in the section below.   *Entry requirements* There are */no known changes/* to entry requirements that may affect you joining this trip. For all trips, having the correct documentation and visa, if required, remains the customer’s responsibility based on their own nationality. We therefore encourage all travellers to check entry requirements using the travel advice of their home nation for the relevant destination. For UK passport holders that is https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice   In">https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice">https://www.gov.uk/foreign-tra... order to meet the new immigration requirements for Turkey you should note the following: * You must wear a face mask at all times whilst in an airport, and for the duration of all flights, to and from Turkey. * You will need to complete a passenger locator form prior to arriving in Turkey. Details will be provided by your airline. * All arrivals into Turkey will be subject to a medical evaluation for symptoms of coronavirus, including temperature checks. Any passengers showing symptoms including high fever, coughing or respiratory difficulties will be required to undergo a PCR swab test for coronavirus. * In the event that a test returns a positive result, you will be provided with medical treatment at a facility determined by the Ministry of Health or, if preferred, at a private medical facility in Turkey at your own expense.   *Local COVID restrictions* Local regulations or guidelines in Turkey require visitors to: * Wear a non-medical face covering in all public indoor spaces, except for restaurants and cafÉs, and all public outdoor areas. * Wear a non-medical face covering during shared private transfers such as those you will take as part of your Exodus trip. * Maintain social distancing at a standard distance of 1.5 metres.   Visitors should note that certain restrictions are in place for restaurants, shops and tourist attractions, such as limiting visitor numbers, mandatory use of face coverings, additional hand washing facilities and one-way systems. Accommodation and transport suppliers in Turkey are required by law to have a COVID-safe certificate in order to operate. Your leader will reconfirm the latest local government advice and requirements on arrival. *Itinerary changes* After assessing the risks posed by COVID-19, the visit to the Grand Bazaar on Day 14 will not take place due to the impossibility of social distancing amid the narrow alleys, many stall holders and shoppers. There is free time during the itinerary to visit the Grand Bazaar if you wish to do so independently, however we advise against this for the safety of you and your group. Instead, you will visit the famed cultural landmark Hagia Sophia, recently and contentiously converted back from a museum into a mosque, having been originally built as an Orthodox cathedral. The visit to the Spice Market will be dependent on the ability to social distance. Your guide will advise locally if this visit will be possible and the timing is subject to change. Showing Land-Only prices, flights can also be supplied
