Vietnam is a gourmet paradise known for its fabulous, exotic cuisine that differs between the southern, central and northern regions of the country. Experience Vietnam culinary tour that incorporates cultural highlights, cooking classes and dining in gourmet restaurants along the way. From lessons in a Saigon Cooking School, to classes in a beautiful villa set in lush tropical surroundings, this Vietnam culinary tour will be a gastronomic delight for the senses.

ITINERARY BY DAY

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival

Day 2: Hoa Tuc Cooking Class

Go on a tour of the outdoor produce markets to shop for ingredients and learn all about the exotic fruits, vegetables and herbs on display. Return to the cooking centre where you will be shown the secrets to Vietnamese cooking.

Day 3:  Mekong Delta

After a scenic drive to Vinh Long, take a boat through the floating market and lush green vegetation of the canals to an ancient house. If you wish, have a go at catching fish the traditional way or simply watch the locals demonstrate. Enjoy their ‘catch of the day’ for lunch. On the way back stop by a local brick-making factory before disembarking the boat and heading back to the City. 

Day 4: Hoi An

Go on a walking tour of this beautiful town, be inspired by its fascinating architecture, dine in its many gourmet restaurants and get some shopping therapy at one of the many tailor shops.

Day 5:  Hoi An Farmer and Fisherman

This exciting full day tour gives you an insight into the lives of the farming and fishing communities in this beautiful region of Vietnam.

Day 6: Hoi An Cooking Class

Take a tour of the markets before cruising downriver to a villa set in lush tropical surroundings, where you will enjoy a fun cooking class.

Day 7: Hue Cooking Class Tour

In this half-day cooking class, you will follow a local chef to the central market, where you will receive guidance on choosing ingredients for your cooking lesson as well as a background of Hue Imperial Cuisine. During the cooking class you will learn how to make Hue fried spring rolls, rice cakes, banana flower salad and grilled beef in the local style.

Day 8:  Hue Free Day at leisure - overnight train to Hanoi 

Day 9:  Hanoi Street Eat Tour

The tour begins with an introduction to the local food scene over a hearty bowl of pho; noodle soup, the quintessential Hanoi street food. Then it is off to a bustling local market where your  chef will demystify the local produce, and encourage you to taste some of its most exotic ingredients . A further 5 venues are included in the tour and all travel between venus is by taxi or on foot, the tour lasts for 5 hours and finishes with a typical Vietnamese ca phe, or che  (Vietnamese tea) and local sweets. Your chef and guide will also share some of their favourite eating and shopping secrets in Ha Noi for you to explore further.

Day 10:  Hanoi

This half day cooking tour in Hanoi will provide you with a hands-on lesson on how to shop for, and to cook, authentic Vietnamese food. You will join the Hanoi Cooking Centre for your hand’s on cooking lesson followed by a chance to try your new creation.

Day 11:  Depart Hanoi
