4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu

From: £544.49**

The Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu in Peru is one of the greatest walks in Peru, and indeed the world.

We offer daily Inca Trail trek departures with superb guides, accompanied by our fairly treated porters who help to carry your personal and all communal kit en route to Machu Picchu.

Over many years we've built close relations with porter communities through our long-standing support of several community projects, including a Porter's Project and Huchuy Yachaq.

You can also rely on our man in Cusco, Jesús Mejia, to offer support and advice before and after the trek.

Enjoy the Inca Trail trek

What better way to enjoy the Inca Trail trek, deservedly the most famous footpath in South America.

It has everything: gorgeous mountain scenery, cloudforest and lush sub-tropical vegetation with numerous species of flowers, a stunning final destination in Machu Picchu and, above all, the Inca remains that give the trail its name.

There are Inca paving stones, Inca stairways, an Inca tunnel, and of course the ruins: Runkuracay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, Huiñay Huayna (Wiñay Wayna) and Machu Picchu itself - read our blog about its highlights.

Inca Trail permits and more treks

Inca Trail trek permits are sold on a first come, first served basis and sell out many months in advance, especially in the peak period of May-Sept. Please contact the office for the latest availability.

We also offer a Luxury Inca Trail trek, suited for those who want a slower trek and more home comforts en route. Compare the two in our blog.

The Inca Trail features in many of our Peru group trips:  As part of the cultural tour that is our Peru Highlights trip, our multi-activity Cusco Active, or our specifically designed Family Holiday.

For those looking for a longer and more remote and adventurous trip, include Salkantay, or incorporate rafting on the Inca Explorer.

If the Trail is full, try our Lares Trek, which dips through beautiful valleys and weaving communities, or the more demanding but stunning Salkantay trek.

All these trips can be extended with Amazon visits, Peru treks and rafting.

This trip has no fixed departures but restrictions may apply - check operator website
