The world according to travmaz

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Desert - I love the vastness and quiet however I am addicted to snorkelling so there must be a bit of ocean in there

What was your first great travel experience?
Remote Eastern Turkey in 1985

What has been your favourite journey?
Very difficult can't choose between 'Discovering Iran' 'From Hanoi to Saigon' or 'Travelling across Cuba'

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Impossible! I could easily name 10 but if you want just 5 - Greek Islands, Andes, Japan, Spain away from the Costas, Java, Petra - sorry I can't count

Recommend a special place to stay
Any homely Irish B&B serving a delicious breakfast after a night in a nearby pub enjoying the music and craic. Mount Royd at Carrigans, Co. Donegal is my recommend for a special place to stay.

Which three items do you always pack?
1. Camera 2. Guide book 3. Plenty of shoes

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
The exit stamp I got leaving Tibet before going into Nepal after travelling the roof of the world

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Now I have been to Patagonia Argentina it would have to be Pakistan

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Taking as many trips as possible

Window or aisle?
Window, is there anywhere else??
