Yeah, there is always nearly someone here - c.400,000 visitors every year and a UNESCO world heritage site. Know how it got its name?
A Scottish giant was once giving grief to one of his Ulster brethern so he decided to march on over and sort him out! The GC was the wee set of stepping stones he carved out for the journey.... he survived and came back to live happily ever after but there was always agitators challenging his peaceful existence. That’s how we ended up with Lough Neagh, (the largest lake in the British Isles), he scooped a fistful of earth up one day and fired it across the channel at one of his tormentors - today it's called the Isle of Man!

a spectacular picture of a place on my "must go" list. incidentally, fintown trekker, a nice additional story, funny how i'm sure i can hear a strong irish accent telling it... aah, the power of the imagination.
