What was your first great travel experience?
Getting lost on the beach in Ibiza for three hours when I was 4 years old, and being rescued by camel!

What has been your favourite journey?
The Inca Trail.

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Mozambique, The Sahara Desert, San Francisco, Peru, and the countryside near my home town of Northampton!

Recommend a special place to stay
Just camp out in the jungle under a mosquito net and listen to the night come alive.

Which three items do you always pack?
A book, my Ipod, and a good torch.

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Afghanistan - the visa renewal in-country took 6 days, 73 signatures from 9 different buildings.

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Timbuktu.

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
A good massage after a few days hard trekking.

Window or aisle?
Aisle - i'm getting old in the knees!
