Reflections of Liverpool by satkinson
I've been to 3 different English cities in the past 6 months - Bristol, Ipswich and Liverpool - loved them all!!

Ace photos Sophie (as usual!) and Happy Birthday! I went to Liverpool a couple of times when I lived in Chester but I didn't see any of the sights you saw, or at least I don't remember them - I only remember the museum. The cathedral looks fab, especially on a sunny day with those windows. It does seem a bit weird to have a restaurant there, but I the Cathedral in Chester had quite a roomy cafe in it too (no superlambananas though, as far as I recall).

Thanks Emma! And great to meet you on Saturday. I think a lot of the new stuff was made ready for the 2008 Capital of Culture (although my friend said that all they built was a shopping centre!!).

Hi Sophie, have had a quiet afternoon and have just tried out the macro ring light I was telling you about. Pretty good on hyacinths, not so good right close in on an Alstomeria, poss needed some sunlight as well but 3.30 when the sun has moved off the front room is not an ideal time. Still for the little we paid it may well do the job. In case you are interested it is a Ring 48 and I got it from Amazon, it comes with a few adaptor rings but none that fitted my lens so had to get that as well. Pictures not up to standard to post on Flickr yet, added you as a contact on Flickr, hope that is OK.
