Reminds me of Brookside by satkinson
So, as a kid I used to watch Brookie and this is the only building I remembed from the opening credits. Beautiful building. So the story goes that the Liver Birds didn't mate; hence no offspring and no more Liver Birds (although I did read that there's more all around the city).

The 1996 re-visit (Series 10) or the originals (that ran up until 1978)?! There was me feeling old (birthday tomorrow and definitely not a spring chicken) so you've made me feel better!
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Sophie. The original, though I was only a young child but I remember it well, great Sunday night TV.

Happy birthday Sophie - you share it with my eldest son who will be 37 tomorrow, (well actually today as he lives in Sydney and it is already the 6th there) so if you're not a spring chicken what does that make me? <tough old bird probably>Enjoy your day :)Nice set btw - you always capture the detail such as the fish on the railings and light in the cathedral that I'm always drawn towards. Liverpool on my list for a city break too.

Happy birthday, Sophie. Enjoy. Spring chickens are not all they're cracked up to be. :-)
