What was your first great travel experience?
Inter-railing throughout Europe when I was 18. We had £4 a day to spend so had to get on a train to sleep every night.

What has been your favourite journey?
The Galapagos Islands/ Spending 4 weeks walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Ecuador - the galapagos islands, Paris, Bolivia, China (Tibet), Nicaragua

Recommend a special place to stay
The Black Sheep Inn in Ecuador. A true eco -lodge set in the highlands.

Which three items do you always pack?
swiss army knife, trek towel and a camera

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Czechoslovakia - a country no more! And all the European stamps that you no longer get, like France with a stamp of a train to show how you entered the country

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Bhutan

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
I always spend about 6 weeks travelling in the summer and I rough it for most of the trip but I treat myself every now and again to a really nice hotel room.
