The world according to Rena77uk

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Jungle, despite the fact I'm scared of even money spiders!

What was your first great travel experience?
Crewing on a Tall Ship around the Canary Islands with the Sail Training Association. I just loved climbing the rigging to help the engineer change light bulbs in the middle of the night. Just don't drop the screwdriver.

What has been your favourite journey?
The train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes, with the anticipation of what lay at the end of the journey!

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Cusco, Peru; El Remate, Guatemala; Chiang Dao, Thailand; Iceland; Yosemite NP, USA

Recommend a special place to stay
Casa de Don David in El Remate in Guatemala - couldn't ask for a more tranquil and beautiful setting, with incredibly friendly & helpful staff, and you can watch hummingbirds whilst eating breakfast.

Which three items do you always pack?
Hard shampoo (it lasts weeks and hardly takes up any space), spare memory cards for camera, more spare memory cards for camera.

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Galapagos

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Mongolia

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Secretly enjoying the odd slice of 'uncultural' pizza after weeks of rice and curry, although I'd never admit it.
