The world according to patagonianflower

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Mountain - I love snow capped peaks and dramatic scenery.

What was your first great travel experience?
Travelling to Innsbruck by train. My dad is a railwayman and dragged the whole family (including potty and pushchair) across Europe by train and ferry for a holiday in the Austrian Alps. That was back in the proper days of travel though!

What has been your favourite journey?
Travelling across North and South Islands and Stewart Island of New Zealand. Just stunning.

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Doubtful Sound, New Zealand Perito Moreno glaciar, Patagonia lake Titicaca, Peru Koh Rork, Thailand Nuremberg, Germany

Recommend a special place to stay
Hosteria Posadas by the lake of the same name in Patagonia. It lies in between two glacial lakes at the foot of Patagonia's highest mountain, San Lorenzo and is also about 100km from the nearest town. Pure peace and quiet!

Which three items do you always pack?
My favourite Indiana travel shoulder bag, travel towel, and an extensive first aid kit which has often been referred to as the travelling hospital (well you never know!)

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Cambodia because it's a fabulous visa with an embossed country logo and we waited for 2 hours to get it!

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Do you get one for Antarctica?

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Don't think I really have one, apart from the urge to book up the next trip as soon as I return from one!!!
