The world according to Mik

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
100% mountain, the beauty of the mountains is just breath taking.

What was your first great travel experience?
I was lucky enought to travel to lots of places when I was younger. But my first great travel experience on my own was an Austrian exchange when I was 16 which had lots of mountain adventures, including being chased down a mountain by a cow, hilarious now, not so much at the time!

What has been your favourite journey?
Superjeeping through Iceland, so much fun!

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
on Safari in Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka; 'walking' some crazy vertical route through Dovedale, Peak District, UK; quietly sipping some tea and soaking in the views at the Peak Cafe, Hong Kong Island; the astounding raw beauty of Iceland; and last but not least the manic hustle and bussle of Cairo, Egypt crazy times!!

Recommend a special place to stay
Under the stars in the Sinai desert, you will fall asleep to shooting stars.

Which three items do you always pack?
My passport, camera and kindle!

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Sri Lanka.

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Cambodia, Vietnam or Laos... take your pick!

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Indulging in a good book and a nice glass of red wine.

Window or aisle?
I like to see where I am going so it has to be the window!
