How far can you travel on £250? The world according to Kathryn

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Jungle and mountain, the former for the abundance of life, the latter for the scenery

What was your first great travel experience?
Driving around Europe as a child, 3 of us in the back of the car singing our chosen 'holiday song'

What has been your favourite journey?
Around Costa Rica or backpacking in Australia and SE Asia

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Costa Rica, for the wildlife, the scenery, the 'pura vida'. I have a bit of a hummingbird obsession too. Singapore, loads to do as well as visiting my sister and family when she lived there... Tanzania, Ngorongoro crater especially. Didn't see a leopard though. Bali, away from the tourists. Dolphins at Lovina beach at dawn. Bits of Australia. Parrots especially. Molini di Triora, Liguria, Italy. Moscow and Trinidad current favourites .

Recommend a special place to stay
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for the sunset over the crater. Lakeview Homestay, on the edge of the caldera, Mount Batur, Bali, also for the view.

Which three items do you always pack?
pacamac field guide to local wildlife camera

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
DRC and Rep of Congo, also Cambodia, because it was my first ever solo trip.

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Madagascar, India, Canada (do you get a stamp in Canada?) ..... DRC again

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Coffee. There must be coffee.

Window or aisle?
Definitely window
