The world according to K4thy

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Probably where mountains meet water - then I'm hooked

What was your first great travel experience?
When I was growing up I enjoyed independent camping holidays in Europe I have early memories using my basic French chatting to locals in cafés supping orangina!

What has been your favourite journey?
It's got to be my round the world trip which took us 60,000 miles across five continents in 60 weeks flying as little as possible.

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia Manu Biosphere, Amazon Rainforest Luang Prabang, Laos Vava'u islands, Kingdom of Tonga Roatan Island, Honduras

Recommend a special place to stay
Vava'u islands, Kingdom of Tonga

Which three items do you always pack?
Camera, washing line bungee cord, duck tape

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Gosh, that's a hard one! Maybe Beiruit because we weren't sure we'd get in or the one from Belize because we arrived on a small boat from Guatemala in the pouring rain and we were soaked! We then heard English being spoekn for the first time for six months!

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
It's got to be all the "Stans" - I am looking forward to exploring Central Asia

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Probably my silk liner - it makes any bed a whole lot more comfortable
