Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
I love crisp clear mountain air and scenery, the pseudo emptiness of the desert, the vastness of the ocean and the wildlife and claustrophobia of the jungle... If i absolutely had to pick one, then mountains.
What was your first great travel experience?
Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece 1997. I was 20 and we were clueless about how clueless we were, arriving in a country which had no hostels, dual pricing, ex soviet bureaucracy and us with no guidebook! We fumbled through though, the seeds most definitely planted.
What has been your favourite journey?
Andes... Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile for 2 months when i was 22. It was my first solo trip and i always look forward to returning there with more time. There is something magic about the place.
What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Cappadocia, Plitvice, Petra, Angkor, Palmyra

Camera, notebook, book

East Timor

Galapagos
Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Without any guilt... Fresh fruit juice in Hama, Syria. Pancakes and mango lassis on Ko Phi Phi.
Eateries- Giovannis in Prague, Goreme restaurant in Cappadocia, hot chocolate cafes in Bratislava.
