The world according to Howellsey

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
It's a toss up between Mountains and Oceans. I love the wildness of a stormy day by the sea in the winter. I love the sense of achievement of getting to the top of a mountain. Think it's the fact that both make me feel very small and insignificant !

What was your first great travel experience?
Canoeing on the Dordogne. Or, as an independent traveller, driving a Chevvy across the States.

What has been your favourite journey?
Queen Charlotte Walking Track

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
1. West coast of South Island of NZ 2. Wild coast of South Africa 3. Italian Dolomites 4. Red Centre, Australia 5. National Parks of Utah

Recommend a special place to stay
Te Nikau Retreat, Punakaiki, New Zealand or The Kraal, Mpande, South Africa

Which three items do you always pack?
Pen, notebook, camera

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Lesotho

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Maybe Russia, maybe Namibia

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
I'm not all that hardcore and am happy to use a local travel agent to make my life easier !!!

Window or aisle?
Aisle
