Dunnock by GrahamC
I visited Fisher's Green near Cheshunt last week and I think that this is either a female or juvenile Reed Bunting. It was with another bird which had black eye patches. Additional: Thanks to DrG =

Graham - I think you'll find this is a dunnock - Prunella modularis and not a reed bunting.

I think you are right, DrG! The RSPB site all agreed it was a RB! Should have posted here first :)
Gill n Bob from Solihull, Pliers, Rhoda, Kathryn and probably a few other usual suspects on these ethereal pages know their birds....
RSPB who? Are you waiting for a 2nd opinion to change the title? ;-)

:) Just worked out how to change it! I'll ignore the other site and just concentrate on here from now on!
Thanks for the head's up!

Definately a dunnock. Brilliant photo, these small birds are so difficult to photograph. I was at Leighton Moss RSPB reserve earlier this week, and there were lots of duck, waders etc. I managed only one half decent photo of a couple of geese. Not easy at all!
