Wat Benchamabophit (Marble Temple) by Fintown Trekker

It may not be on the grand scale of Wat Pra Kaew (the temple of the Grand Palace) but it is one of my favourite Bangkok temples! Why? The thing about Bangkok is that it’s easy to overdose on temples

Come on, you're taking the proverbial p--- here H? Buddhist temple architecture is a rather complex subject, rich in symbolism and, nay, not for the birds methinks!

Hey Fin,

5 easy stars here, for a couple of reasons. I completely agree with Traveldeva. There is nothing quite like someone else's enthusiasm about their travels to excite mine!!! This from a girl who has never had wish to travel to Thailand for anything! However, they are also for the contradiction between the old and the new, the aesthetic and the practical, the temple and the scaffolding! Love it!!!!! Px
