Such a picturesque description, Doc!  However, if I'm honest, I prefer mosquito infested marshlands to the Grand Metrolops of Lodnod!!!  However, the two converse images did make me smile, Enjoy your sunny weekend, P

I wonder.....do those students listen to their master? That was such good, and poignant, advice you alluded to; to grasp every opp with both hands and wring it for what it's worth - offer is still their to poffer that advice in person - cheers!

I am glad to see comrade Bonaparte appreciate Greenwich as much as I do.

I do not know his opinion on toad sex, but thanks for your comments Doc!

I have not found any of "my" female toads drowned yet - they seem to appreciate the attention from ten males. Probably that Viking blood again!

Estonia was a disaster - disappeared in the ash clouds. At 05.15 a.m. everything was ok both in Bergen, Oslo and Tallin. At 06.12, when I had my finger on the button to call for a taxi, the SMSes started beeping in. First delays messages. And then cancellations. Our Icelandic friends had sent a cloud that hit Bergen Airport one hour before departure. So Estonia is postponed to April 2011!

did anyone else spot this exact view on the Antiques Roadshow last night? Or maybe you all have more exciting things to be doing ... :-)

Well spotted KK.... and v brave for admitting to it! The view that they lingered on for longer was directly across the river from Nelson's 'behind'. Although this makes for a dramatic silhouette of 'is 'at... and sets it against the backdrop of the Isle of Dogs' tall towers, there are numerous, and in my opinion hideous, flats on the opposite bank which detract from the view. All of Greenwich is being dolled up now for the Olympics. We've even inherited a couple of those Indian elephant art installations!

I'm not ashamed, I watch worse things than the Antiques Roadshow ;-)

I see your wedding is imminent, here's to a very very happy life together for you and Sam :-) Be sure to savour every moment of the special day as it will pass by only too quickly. (And be sure to post just a couple of pics on here, even if only temporarily)  KKx
