I had breakfast on a jetty in Santa Barbara while Pelicans sat on the railings watching me eat -it made for surreal cereal. Have you checked out your picture in the Weird World book yet? The booked landed in my in tray this morning -I've not stopped laughing all day - my picture is of my work place - now that's weird to have a work place that matches the people inside! -cheers Ian

I love this - it looks like one carved piece of wood!

Actually, I've been looking for the right place to thank you for your very generous defence of a comment I wrote on Elizowe's experience about holidaying with blind people.  I've posted an apology to her for our apparent hijacking of her experience and said something to Neil Matthews on one of his shots.  However, I have to confess to being seriously surprised and touched by your comment.  All I want is for people to think about what they say before they start.  We dont necessarily know how the listener is going to interpret what they hear (assuming they can but that's another story altogether), so I just feel its encombant on us all to consider that before we start.  Nothing more.  Are you a scientist, a man, a fiance, a son, a fine photographer?  Or are you a person first who fits into all those boxes at some point?

Pamela shut up!!!!!!  Lecture over. Thanks Jo
