Dapper little gent by DrG
This striking, male, least bittern was almost dwarfed by the floating pads on the side of the spring, and despite his colours, was difficult to see and capture 'cleanly' with no obstructing foliage..

Another superb shot. What patience you have.
Sorry your trip to Thonon-les-Bains has fallen by the wayside. I hate this weather, I am housebound because I can't get up to my boss's house which is above Weald, Nr Sevenoaks. I can get onto the main roads but I would never be able to get up the little lane where he lives. I am now officially bored as I have done all my work and the phone is very quiet today!

Megatick, and a fantastic photo. And congrats on making Wanderlust! What with Paul's fantastic photo of the month and DavidF's "last month" too. And fame at last for me - a tip in "the knowledge" whatever next!

Wow! That's an amazing picture. How far away/how much zoom? Will be going to South Georgia/Florida last week of June/1st week of July, and hoping to avoid 4th July ce;ebrations by disappearing into the wilderness! Will have a car, and are visiting friends, but any ideas are welcome. Where are these pictures? They look awesome!
