Cockshoot in October by Dabbler
This is the arm thst would have joined Cockshoot Broad to the river. I think it has been cut off to prevent boat access to turn the broad into a nature reserve

I know this view.... the path leads up the lhs to a hide eh? Nice crop
Dabbler.... went through yours before seeing your Q on my shot. I have posted a reply here. Cheers, DrG

Thanks, yes there is a hide that looks out onto open water of the main broad but I have to say there has rarely been anything spectaular within range. I think I saw an otter once but it was a long way away

Hi Dabbler - the observant observer! I'm kinda afraid of you..... and then I saw you dabbling with my Budapest shots and the poor auld ticker hit one sixty! Just like it did with some of the breathtaking sites there. You're right; the palace at night is utterly spectacular and even more so from the river trip as the keep refilling your glass. Small wonder that I managed to get that shot at all!

This looks like an old master oil painting! Very nice.

Thank you for these latest comments, especially the painting reference. I had not looked at it like that before but I see what you mean now satkinson.

Yes Mr Dabbler! Twas nice to drop into My Comments and see you dropping by my foggy shoreline and leaving a compliment re the good descriptions. On a day that A. N. Other seen fit to go on a rant and slander me over long and babbling posts....But sure I see you're a fella who likes plenty of meat on the bone!!! Cheers....

Hi, Mr Observant observer! Seems like long absence....good to see you back! And like you I noticed the profusion of Burma stuff of late. Would love to go there......

As Sophie has said, this really does look like an old oil painting. Thank you for your compliments on my Burma pictures - I would encourage anyone to go there, and go soon before it (possibly) gets overrun. It's a wonderful place. Am in the process of writing it up as an Experience, but words just won't do it justice.

It does have the appearance of a Constable painting!

Och, me auld observant buddy! Saw your comment on Freeman of Greenwich piece. You're so right - it was a whirlwind weekend but it got savaged from some 800 word rapid quik draft to the 350 but as you said there was lots more in forum posts at the time. Nice to see you dropping by, cheers....
