The world according to Christie

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Mountain for sure - fresh air, clear skies, makes your eyes water...

What was your first great travel experience?
Leaving the Isle of Man to go to Broome, West Australia when I was 18. It was my first trip with my dad and we went via NYC, California, Hawaii, Sydney, Perth then drove to Broome. Couldn't be farther away from the Isle of Man, in every respect.

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
In no particular order... 1 - New Zealand (all of it!) 2 - Hanoi & surrounds, Vietnam 3 - The Yucatan, Mexico 4 - Chang Mai, Thailand 5 - Cape Town, South Africa (and then there is the Isle of Man on a clear summers day...)

Recommend a special place to stay
If only I could remember the name of it! A lovely little bungalow style room looking over a rice paddy field in Ubud, Bali. One I can remember the name of is Riad Dar Dialkoum, Marrakesh - a haven of tranquility compared to the manic bustle as soon as

Which three items do you always pack?
Ignoring the passport, money side of things - mobile phone (sadly), Ventolin inhaler & ear plugs - very boring.

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Vietnam, such a beautiful country in so many ways.

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Tanzania, which is why I am going next to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and finally see animals in the wild.
