Wonderful, unusual collection of photos, this one is my favourite. My garden backs on to a churchyard. When / if it stops raining, I might just nip out with the camera!

Thanks for this gallery, bilbo. There's something very peaceful about country churches and churchyards.

    Hi

Thanks for the comments.  These pictures were posted a couple of years back and have got lost in the depths of the old site.

They were actually taken by my husband, who, I have to say, is a great photographer although he concentrates on video now.  He used to concentrate on landscape and is a past master of photoshop, although I am pretty sure these are as is.  He wanted me to put them on my Flickr page so I thought I would repost them here.  I will tell him they have been well received.

    Hi BB

You're right - Matlock Bath is hell in the summer. Winter is great - (and there's been no snow this year - so we are back to normal) but Heights of Abraham don't open until half term.

The Peak District is lovely in all the seasons but it's best to avoid the Summer for more popular places and holidays!

Morning BB - I'm a day late spotting your motw congrats. Often the morning blast from the east catches us all unawares and the tide has gone out with the GMT comments...

Anyway I see you were all over my Namibia gallery like an amorous rottweiler! I got a few laughs at old memories resurrected by you - thanks. Sorry you didn't make Desties; we had great craic! But that auld G fella took a bit of his Antartica to Greenwich and I nearly had to do a Captain Oates on him....

Yeah, New England, it seems so long ago. I really must get something up. Maybe in 10 days time - for now I am rather animated with appealing a decision for a massive wind farm right next to us at home and the noose tightens on the deadline for submissions.....MV was idyllic - defo touch base with you on it again. Cheers...

    Hi Bilbo

Flickr address is http://www.flickr.com/photos/neferangela/  don't get too excited you have probably seen most of the pics, I am playing around with macro at the moment using my new lens.  Can't wait for the better weather so I can do some insects instead of cominghome with expensive armfuls of bought flowers!
