Just about one of the priciest drinks I have had - £15 each! We spent more on two drinks than our three nights of meals in the local food courts!

Ah but had to be done eh? And theoretically you could have pogged out on the free peanuts to keep yer ribs apart. I was in on Saturday night but having done the 'slings' two years ago, got fleeced via my beloved Bombay instead.... Cheers, J

Much better than the ginger beer! Although I too liked (and still do) ginger beer, though my folks used to leave us in the car with a bottle of lemonade and the crisps with the blue twists of salt. Whatever happend to those? I seem to recollect a resurgence in them at some point. What I remember about the New Forest as a child was stopping to picnic - out would come the meths stove and on went the blackened kettle for a cup of tea - my mother hated thermos flasks and always brewed her own tea, often at the side of the road in a traffic jam (before motorways). Oh, happy days!

I'm glad the photos brought back good memories :)
