Competition entry on bad experience drinking the local water

Had a fantastic bowl of soup from a restaurant in Belize, a little treat as we usually used the street vendors. Shortly after I discovered the stock must have been made with infected water. After several hours of thinking I was going to die and being ill in a bathroom similar to the "worst toilet in Scotland", featured in the film Trainspotting, I managed to drag myself to a near by Doctors office. The Doctor was fishing and was unobtainable. Luckily the nurse was there and she was brilliant. When she brought out a needle I thought I had got mixed up and ended up in a vet's clinic as this thing looked like it was designed for nothing smaller than an Elephant. I rolled up my sleeve, prepared myself and closed my eyes... nothing happened. I risked a peak to find the nurse shaking her head and miming for me to bend over...
