The world according to 0707-LJB

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Ocean. I'm a proper water baby and love being close to the sea. Luckily I only live ten minutes away from the gorgeous Northumberland coastline.

What was your first great travel experience?
Seeing Niagara Falls for the first time was breathtaking, luckily I got to go back 6 years later and it was just as amazing the second time.

What has been your favourite journey?
On two holidays to Italy & Turkey I have taken "adult travel virgins" with me on their first holiday and it was so lovely to see them enjoying their first time abroad, getting on an airplane etc. They both caught the travel bug after that so I'm pleased I persuaded them to go.

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Lake Windermere, Niagara Falls, Dublin, Rome & Druridge Bay on the Northumberland Coast.

Recommend a special place to stay
The Royal York in Toronto was a nice treat! It was where the Queen stayed when she went to Toronto and it really was lovely. Luckily my Nana paid for that trip!

Which three items do you always pack?
1. Camera and more importantly the charger as I abuse my camera when I am holiday! 2. Travel Guide/Phrase book for wherever I am going for maps, tips and I love to try out a bit of the local lingo. 3. A pair of comfy trainers to help my poor feet for all the walking we do.

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
I am proud of any passport stamp I get. No holiday has even really outshone another, all brilliant for different reasons.

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
North Korea, Iran, Georgia, Serbia.... the list is endless!

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Taking photos of everything so I don't forget a second of my journey, and I mean absolutely everything! Local bins, phone boxes, traffic lights! All so different in different parts of the world and its the little things like that you forget.

Window or aisle?
Window - can see the lovely views when taking off/landing and i don't get disturbed all the time when the people around me need the toillet!
