    What has been your most memorable Christmas away from home?

    With the big day fast approaching I've been reminiscing about Christmases spent on the road.
    My most memorable is a toss-up between a Christmas spent on a roof top terrace of an old mudbrick house in Lamu drinking Tusker, eating seafood and listening to Galiano's 'In Pursuit of the 13th Note' and festive season spent travelling through Mexico watching processions of Saints through cobbled streets and hearing the song 'Felize Navidad' waaay too many times.
    It got me thinking: What have been your most memorable Christmases away from home?

    Going trekking in Doi Inthanon, to see Thailand's highest mountain made an enjoyable Christmas day. Even if it was misty and the views weren't great, it was such a contrast to being at home. I met lots of monks too, who wanted me in their photos. I guess my curly hair had novelty value!
