It's my first time to travel Austria and I would love any suggestions on my itinerary. I also wish to go to Budapest. I will be staying there for a month.

Last year, I went on a trip to Austria and had a great experience. With my experience, I can suggest you an itinerary:
It would be good to start trip with Vienna, then head to Danube Valley. Next you can explore Salzburg via Mauthausen then to Hallstatt and Salzkammergut Lake District. It will be convenient to visit Innsbruck, Bavaria and Castles last.
You can explore these places in a week, then fly to Budapest from Munich. If you are going to stay in Budapest for a month, you have plenty of time to explore the city. Here are some great places to visit:
Spectacular Castle Hill
Exploring Gellért Hill
The Museum of Fine Arts
The Hungarian National Museum
Parliament Buildings and Crown Jewels
The Danube Promenade
Heroes' Square and the Millennium Monument
City Woodland Park - Városliget
Budapest's Busiest Boulevard
Magnificent Margaret Island
The Outer Ring
The Buda Ring
The University Church
Margaret Bridge and its Baths
Hope this helps.
Happy Journey :)
