    Mini-writing competition

    Afternoon all,

    As Daisy's in France and I'm off tomorrow to the Rutland Bird Fair and then for a couple of days on the Norfolk coast you have a few extra days on the traditional Friday mini-comp.

    First things first, well done to the winners and runners up in last weeks silly signs competition. The winners rosette goes to subotica for this very topical photo from Stratford. Well done! Well deserved runners-up laurels go to EmmaDurnford, mcwomble and lloydmartin.

    Now for this week, we want your travel experiences. The theme is the "kindness of strangers" and we want your 400-500 words on how a stranger restored your faith in humanity.
