    Hotel recommendations for Berlin

    Hi all,

I am spending a week in Berlin this October, and am looking for some hotel recommendations - looking for somewhere close to transport links (or walking distance to at least the Reichstag, CC etc), not too expensive but with something a bit different about it!  I've heard about one hotel that has each room created by a different artist, if anyone could link or suggest other options that would be fantastic!

    Thanks in advance ~K

If it’s great transport links you’re looking for then you should stay near Zoologisher Garten. There are many top end, boutique and budget hotels in the area, as well as great bars and restaurants. It’s a fair old walk to the Reichstag – about 4km – but like I said the transport links are excellent.

Although I didn’t stay here, my friend tells me good things about Hotel Pension Funk. Maybe not as 'funky' as you were hoping, but it is quite quirky and has some great character.

Also, if you’re planning on visiting the Reichstag don’t forget you need to book a few days in advance.

    Have a great time Caz

Hi Caz - thanks for the recommendations, both area and the Hotel Pension Funk.  I'm going away with my boyfriend who hasn't travelled much, so looking for a mix of quirky whilst keeping a small bit of luxury for him!  Thanks again
