Nominations for Wanderlust's World Guide Awards are set to close in less than ten days time. Give something back to the guide who made your trip – nominate now
Whether you've travelled independently or in a group, whether you used a guide for a day or for a month – they can make all the difference to your trips. But be quick to nominate your top guide – nominations close in less than ten days time, on the 5 February.
Wanderlust's World Guide Awards remains the ONLY global award for tour leaders and guides in the world – don't miss this opportunity to thank your guide for the time and energy they put into their work.
Whether they're a tour leader, safari guide, naturalist, astronomer, city guide or sherpa – we want to know who they are and why they deserve recognition.
Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of Wanderlust magazine Lyn Hughes, said it's crucial you get involved, "I travel several times a year myself and know the difference a good guide makes. Done well, it's a difficult job (I couldn't do it!), and I'm in awe of the guides who get shortlisted each year in these awards.
"This is a great opportunity to make sure that someone exceptional that you have met gets recognised for their skills, their personality and their hard work."
Last year's winner, Bruno Dawsan highlights why nominating is essential, “It is important for a person to be given recognition whatever field they work in. The Wanderlust World Guide Awards is one amazing way for travellers to thank the guides they've toured with.”

The Wanderlust World Guide Awards were launched in 2005 in memory of Wanderlust's co-founder Paul Morrison. The Awards celebrate the unsung heroes of the travel world and work to give something back.
The winner of the Awards will be announced later this year – at a prestigious event at London's Royal Geographical Society. Don't worry, we'll keep you updated on when and how you can register for tickets.
