The ten finalists from this year's landscape category have been announced... Get a sneak preview here
Wanderlust's Travel Photo of the Year competition aims to seek out the best amateur travel-snappers out there. After trawling through thousands of entries we've whittled them down and this week we contacted the successful photographers who made it through to the final round.
The finalists for this year's landscape category – in no particular order – are as follows:
Early Morn in Sapa by Lynne Kelman
View Down to Curral Das Freiras by Danny Beath
Autumn Fields by Krzysztof Browko
Bagan Sunset by David Lazar
Dancing Waves by Leif Smith
Buchaille Etive Mor Reflections by Richard Wheeler
The Dark Hedges by Gary McParland
Watching the Clouds at Penguin River by Samantha Crimmin
Star trails over the Harker Glacier by Samantha Crimmin
Sunrise at Jökulsárlón beach by Renata Arpasova
The standard of photography gets better and better every year, and the judging gets harder and harder. Competition judge and professional travel photographer Steve Davey said, "This has, by far, been the toughest year yet!"
Don't forget you can see these and other images at our annual exhibition held at Destinations travel show in Manchester. Discover which image won-what at London's Destinations travel show in February. As well as Wanderlust's travel photography exhibition, there will be plenty of lectures, expert panels and, not to forget, the Wanderlust team.
Click here and use the code WPOTY, to get your hand's on a pair of free tickets to the travel shows.
We'll be announcing the finalists for each category every Friday for the next four weeks. Want to know who made it to the finals in the wildlife, icon, people and portfolio categories? Check back next week as we reveal ten more photos.
Don't forget if you can't make it to the travel shows we'll be announcing the winners online in early February. You'll also be able to purchase all the finalist's images online through Photobox – the UK's favourite destinations for all your travel photo printing needs.
