FCO’s Kosovo travel reminder

19th October 2009

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has reminded travellers going to Kosovo not to try to enter Serbia from the disputed province.

The FCO says travellers with Kosovan stamps in their passport stamps have been denied entry into Serbia.

The Serbian authorities still refuse to acknowledge Kosovo as an independent entity.

The advice for Kosovo says: “You should not attempt to enter Serbia from Kosovo, unless you initially travelled into Kosovo from Serbia, or are travelling via Albania, Macedonia or Montenegro”.

The FCO also continues to advise against all but essential travel to North Mitrovica.
